On the occasion of the publication of Wolfgang Künne’s opus magnum Bernard Bolzano. Seine Zeit und sein Leben, sein Werk und seine Wirkung, the conference addressed Bolzano’s time, life and work and served to present Künne’s four-volume work.

Lectures

The morning session focused on the Bohemian lands during Bolzano’s time, addressing its society and culture in general, the educational system and the University of Prague, and the business of making books.

The afternoon session focused on Bolzano’s life and work, commenting on Künne’s work, who closed on a high note with a lecture on Bolzano’s practical philosophy.

Bolzano’s time, life and work was chaired by Klára Zelinková and held at the main building of the Czech Academy of Sciences, located at Národní 3 in the centre of Prague. There was no registration fee to attend the conference but, due to the capacity of the venue, attendance was limited to those who registered.

The conference was organised by Elías Fuentes Guillén with the assistance of Klára Zelinková, Daniela Frolíková, Tereza Liepoldová, Daniel Kadlec, Petra Hyklová and Sixtus Bolom-Kotari, all of them members of the GA ČR Junior Star project PragMatika (23-06540M).
